Under direct supervision, design, develop, and implement complex business processes using the Appian framework. Typically work with a team on a single complex engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate user requests for business process automation to determine feasibility and technical requirements
  • Plan, develop, test, and document software, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems
  • Work directly with clients to understand current capabilities, present technical options, and ultimately meet program objectives
  • Build modular components and solve problems effectively with the available resources, only customizing the product when absolutely necessary
  • Leveraging the Appian framework, advance technical skills by collaborating with peers and Senior Consultants to prepare to become a Senior Consultant

Experience and Education

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related area. Requires zero to two years of experience.

Physical Demands

Normal demands associated with an office environment. Must be able to sustain desk work for long periods, be able to travel both within and outside of the United States, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email, or face-to-face.

As an emerging expert, design, develop, and implement complex business processes using the Appian framework. Typically work with a team on one or more complex engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for an engagement
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to Consultants
  • Work to refine desired scope and develop a basis of estimates for planned work, including identification of objectives, time frames, risks, costs, and manpower estimates
  • Help identify project risks and steps to mitigate those risks
  • Formulate complex plans which outline steps required to meet client objectives, applying structured analysis and design
  • Work directly with clients to manage expectations through recurring meetings and in-person visits

Experience and Education

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related area. Requires two to four years of experience.

  • Guide the technical architecture for an engagement
  • Help the team understand the bigger picture of the client’s needs, including client motivation and possible barriers to client success
  • Drive the team’s perception of the client and the client’s perception of our company
  • Serve as project manager, including scheduling resources, assigning tasks, and supervising execution
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to Consultants and Senior Consultants

As an industry authority, guide project staff through a wealth of relevant business expertise. Lead teams on multiple, highly complex engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Support the business end of program management, including writing statements of work, responding to proposals, handling human resources issues, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements
  • Develop performance plans and evaluations of employees and subordinate supervisors, and review evaluations to assure equity of individual employee performance objectives, standards, and ratings among all staff levels
  • Define, launch, and drive strategic and operational initiativess
  • Provide thought leadership to project analyses and process improvement activities
  • Serve as the final quality control gate
  • Work with and seek out new clients to drive business growth
  • Acquire follow-on business associated with assigned programs
  • Function as the escalation point for all client communicationn
  • Coordinate scope management with clients to ensure contractual obligations, and meet and ensure a high level of client satisfaction

Experience and Education

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related area. Requires twelve to fifteen years of experience, including 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
