Macedon’s Turkey Donation Drive

We are officially entering the holiday season! Throughout the year, Macedon is an active community member and takes part in local outreach events. Due to the global pandemic, this has created new challenges since we aren’t able to give back like we normally do. Despite the new obstacles COVID brings Macedon team members are actively making an effort to continue to provide relief to those in need in the safest way possible.

This November, David Fletcher partnered with the She Believes In Me organization to start a company-wide Turkey Donation Drive. This drive allowed Thanksgiving meals to be safely packed and delivered to local families just in time for the holiday. In just a few weeks, Macedon gathered enough donations to feed 84 families! This past Saturday, Dave worked with volunteers from the organization and delivered the meals to families in the Reston/Herdon, VA area.

This year has been filled with uncertainty and numerous challenges for all. Macedon team members believe that by providing some families with a Thanksgiving meal, they will have a little relief for the upcoming holiday and can focus on enjoying their time with friends and family.
