Packing Holiday Meals for Families

At Macedon, we strive to be active members of our community. We partner with the She Believes In Me (SBIM) organization regularly. SBIM was founded in 2018 by Renee Gorman, a school counselor and a group of teachers and social workers in Herndon, Virginia. SBIM provides life skills, emotional support, and urgently needed resources to families in Herndon and the surrounding areas. 

Macedon hosted a Turkey donation drive that raised enough funds to serve over 100 families a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. This month Brittney and Monique participated in packing up Thanksgiving meals for local families. They met with the many SBIM volunteers and helped pack their cars with the meals and some extra essentials such as eggs, milk, diapers, etc., for the families.
